Optus has brought its mobile coverage to Charleville and Cunnamulla, following the installation of two new mobile facilities.
Allen Lew, Managing Director Optus Mobile, said Optus was focused on enhancing and extending its global system for mobile (GSM) coverage in regional towns and along important roadways.
"Over twenty new mobile base stations have been added to our network in regional Queensland this year, including the Charleville and Cunnamulla sites.
"The objective of the Charleville site was to provide quality coverage to the streets in the town, and along the Warrego and Mitchell Highways.
"The Cunnamulla site delivers great coverage to the township, and along the Mitchell and Balonne Highways as they approach the town.
"We are confident people living, working and travelling in the region will now enjoy good signal levels, which is why we are offering a Coverage Satisfaction Guarantee," Mr Lew said.
Further improvements are planned for mobile coverage in Charleville over the next year, to improve the depth of coverage in the town.
Optus has built more than 200 mobile sites in Queensland during the past four years, and its GSM mobile network provides coverage to more than 94% of the state's population.
