Optus today announced significant improvement to network coverage in Traralgon with three new mobile sites including Traralgon Town Centre, Traralgon South and Newborough.

This upgrade is part of Optus' $90 million dollar investment in Victoria and commitment to the region. It provides in-depth and extensive coverage to the Traralgon township.

Rob Parcell, Optus Director Victoria said, "The recent sponsorship of the Traralgon Show fireworks display, the Optus World store presence and enhancing the local network coverage demonstrates Optus' dedication to improving coverage in Traralgon and commitment to the local community.

"The installation of the three new sites has improved performance in the region by 45 per cent, which is a great result for the people of La Trobe Valley.

"Optus also plans to upgrade existing sites at Traralgon West, Rosedale, Tyres Hill, Trafalgar and Sale as well as other parts of regional Victoria," he said.

This coverage expansion is part of the Optus strategy to provide the largest GSM network on the east coast of Australia.
