Optus has significantly improved mobile coverage in Marysville following the installation of a new mobile tower in the town.
Rob Parcell, Director Victoria, said Optus was focused on enhancing and extending its mobile coverage in regional towns and along important roadways.
"Marysville has benefited from Optus' $90 million dollar investment in Victoria over the past year.
The objective of the new site in Marysville is to provide maximum coverage to the township, and complement existing sites in the region.
"Optus also plans to build new sites in Flowerdale, Healesville, Mt Caroline, Yeringberg, and Yea township over the next 12 months.
"People living, working and travelling in Marysville now have a greater choice of GSM mobile network as a result of improved coverage," Mr Parcell said.
