Optus has significantly improved mobile coverage in Coramba following the installation of a new mobile facility in the town.

Allen Lew, Managing Director Optus Mobile, said Optus was focused on enhancing and extending its mobile coverage in regional towns and along important roadways.

"The objective of the new site in Coramba is to provide maximum coverage to the township and Coramba Road.

Local Optus dealer, Daniel Finlay, said the Coramba site would complement recent new coverage in Dorrigo, Sawtell, and Valla Beach.

"Optus has continued to listen to customer feedback to enhance its coverage, recently undertaking major upgrades of existing sites in Boambee and Woolgoolga.

"Optus also plans to build new sites in Megan and Wooli in coming months.

"People living, working and travelling in Coramba now have a greater choice of GSM mobile network as a result of improved coverage," Mr Finlay said.
