Residents and visitors to the Riverina can now enjoy better Optus mobile coverage thanks to three new base stations installed in recent months.
Local Wagga-Wagga Optus World store owner Chris Horne, said Optus is committed to improving the reach and quality of its mobile service to the Riverina region. "Residents and visitors will notice the improved Optus mobile coverage and better call quality in the areas especially around Murrumbidgee, Uranquinty and The Rock," he said.
"People driving through the Riverina along The Olympic Way, Hume Highway and Sturt and Highway can expect to receive near continuous coverage with a car kit," Mr Horne said.
In addition, Optus plans to upgrade an existing base station at June to extend coverage further south towards Wagga-Wagga.
Optus recommends a car kit with an external antenna to maximise coverage and ensure safer phone handling while driving. Mobile users in the region will benefit further with a higher antenna.
