Optus signs up to consumer codes

Cable & Wireless Optus today reaffirmed its commitment to customer service by being one of the first carriers to sign two important Australian Communication Industry Forum (ACIF) Consumer Codes.

Optus has become a Code Signatory to the Complaint Handling and Credit Management Codes of Practice, as demonstration of its policy to effectively handle consumer complaint and operate credit management practices in a fair and reasonable way.

Paul Fletcher, Director Regulatory Affairs and Interconnect, said Optus believes that participating in the self-regulatory forums is part of an ongoing commitment to customers.
