Cable & Wireless Optus and NEC Australia today unveiled an alliance to jointly develop complete integrated solutions for businesses and government. The alliance was announced at the 6th Annual NEC User Conference which opened in Maroochydore today.
The Cable & Wireless Optus-NEC alliance builds on the Cable & Wireless Optus-Cisco alliance announced last week and the global NEC-Cisco alliance announced in September.
Chris Hancock, Managing Director, Data & Business Services of Cable & Wireless Optus said through the alliance, the companies are paving the way for business and government to embrace the next generation of communication networks and make the promise of IP Telephony and Voice over IP (VoIP) a reality.
