Cable & Wireless Optus today announced it has launched its web-based billing services to business customers.
"Internet savvy consumers have been quick to take advantage of viewing bills online. Yet to date business has largely missed out on the wealth of information available from online billing," said John Filmer, Director Enterprise Cable & Wireless Optus.
"We have been offering web-based billing as part of our facilities management program since May 1999, now we are bringing the benefits of timely and accurate billing information to our corporate and government customers as well.
"In today's fast paced business-to-business world, the ability to make informed choices depends on high quality information," Mr Filmer said.
"Web-based billing is more than just a replacement for a paper invoice, it delivers a sophisticated management reporting and analysis tool which allows customers to ensure their communication services are cost-effective and meet their business needs," he said.
"Managers and financial staff can now easily view summary and detailed reporting on levels and types of telecommunications expenditure," Mr Filmer said.
The service includes the ability to see telecommunications costs by business unit, itemised accounts, detailed reports, call usage patterns as well as sort billing information by a number of other categories. Customers will be able to compare and contrast data over a 15 month period.
Cable & Wireless Optus will be rolling out its web-based billing services to corporate and government customers over the next two months.
