Cable & Wireless Optus confirmed it has signed a contract, expected to be worth in excess of $500 million, to provide communications infrastructure and services to leading IT outsourcing company, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).

The signing follows Cable & Wireless Optus' announcement on 2 December 1999 that it had been awarded the contract in a competitive tender.

The deal will see Cable & Wireless Optus deliver integrated voice, data and IP services to CSC's customers which include some of country's largest corporates and major government departments.
