The Optus workplace giving program allows our people to actively engage with the community and donate to causes that are important to them.

Every 3 years, a national survey facilitated by the Australian Charities Foundation, is undertaken amongst all Optus employees where feedback on charity partners and selections are made based on nominations and set criteria.

The Optus ‘Answering the Call’ program currently supports 13 charities: Assistance Dogs Australia  Australian Wildlife Conservancy   Beyondblue  Cancer Council Australia  Kids Helpline   Mission Australia  NELUNE Foundation  RSPCA  The Salvation Army  Starlight Children’s Foundation Youth Off The Streets  World Vision Australia. Optus employees can donate to any of the Optus 13 charity partners through our workplace giving program, with Optus matching dollar for dollar up to $A200,000 per year. Since our workplace giving program launched in 2005, Optus people have generously donated $A660,000, with Optus matching every dollar to bring our overall community contribution to over $1.3M (as at March 2011).
