BillingOptus' multi-million dollar revenues are billed via the systems controlled by the Optus Billing Services Group. These systems are extremely complex given the diversity of our product and service range.
We are always looking for energetic and committed people to join what could best be described as the engine room of the company.
Billing may be a suitable career path if you enjoy working with computer systems. You will need to be able to work methodically, with attention to detail. Roles in Billing tend to be “systems” and “data” focused.
ProcurementThe primary responsibility for Procurement roles is to ensure that Optus receives maximum commercial value and minimum commercial risk in each transaction with vendors.
Thus, some roles in Procurement are quite “systems” focused, while others concentrate primarily on dealing with people.
FinanceWithin Finance, Optus has two main areas of focus – Corporate Finance and Planning and Financial Control.
Corporate Finance focuses on work related to mergers and acquisitions, business development and financial analysis. It also includes the tax, treasury, and revenue assurance and risk management functions.
The Planning and Financial Control division focuses on business case and capital evaluation studies, revenue accounting, all external reporting, management accounting, business modelling, budgeting, accounts payable, payroll, group credit and property and facilities.
Finance would be a suitable career path if you enjoy working with numbers, have a high regard for precision and accuracy, and are comfortable with spreadsheets and accounting software. Roles in Finance tend to be “data” and “systems” focused. In addition, management roles may have a strong “people” focus.
